Korea Consumer Agency (KCA) and the US Council of Better Business Bureau (BBB) sign Memorandum of Understanding
On 26th May, 2016, in Washington, D.C., US, the Korea Consumer Agency (www.kca.go.kr) and US Council of Better Business Bureau (www.cbbb.org)* signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on resolving consumer damages related to cross-border transactions taking place between Korea and North America, thereby making it possible for Korean consumers to seek redress for disputes that may occur when using Northern American online shopping malls. Korean consumers, who have complaints against business located in the U.S., Canada or Mexico, can now file complaints to the KCA and apply for redress and vice versa, Northern American consumers, who have complaints against Korea-located business, can file the complaints to their BBB local office, which will transfer the complaint to the KCA.
