United Kingdom - The Office of Fair Trading has published its April 2011 Newsletter
The OFT has recently concluded several investigations into traders who were misleading UK consumers. The OFT has taken action against a UK used car buying company (also operating in the US) over concerns about its online valuations. The OFT also required a group buying website to stop misleading consumers bout iPhone sales. It also shut some 19 lead generation websites as it found they were unlicensed and therefore in breach of the Consumer Credit Act.
Finally, the OFT has also set out in its Annual Report what its priorities are for the next twelve months.
