Korea Consumer Agency hosts KOICA fellowship program for public officials in consumer administration

Capacity building in Korea

During the two-week period from June 8 to June 21, the Korea Consumer Agency hosted the "Capacity Building for Improvement and Specialization of Consumer Protection Training", an event organized for public officials from developing countries who are responsible for consumer administration in their respective countries.

The training program is an integral part of the Korea International Cooperation Agency's (KOICA) global internship project, designed specifically for individuals from developing countries, and will be offered for three years from 2023 to 2025. In 2025, the last year of the program, 13 public officials in consumer administration from the three countries from Bangladesh (Directorate of National Consumers' Right Protection), El Salvador (Defensoria del Consumidor, DC) and Kenya (Competition Authority of Kenya, CAK) were invited to attend the program.
