Consumer Education Initiatives and Awards
Each year members are asked to nominate Consumer Education initiatives. Nominations are assessed against the following criteria:
- the success of the consumer education initiative
- the strategy used;
- the results/impact achieved; and
- creativity and originality.
During the Annual Conference, members will assess the nominees against the criteria and vote to select a winner.
2020 Consumer Education Award,
|Winner Category 1 Sustainable consumption - Mongolia
The Authority for Fair competition and consumer protection of Mongolia. The campaign “Child is a consumer” enhances public consumer education by increasing children’s consumer education. The AFCCP of Mongolia worked with teachers, ministries, other agencies, business entities and organisations, and targeted consumers at an early stage to increase consumer education for future citizens.
|Winner Category 2 Guiding consumers in the digital world - Estonia
The Consumer Protection and Technical Regulatory Authority (CPTRA), Estonia. Its campaign “Buy wisely. Trade correctly. Also, in E-store.” had as goal to raise awareness among consumers of their rights and obligations regarding e-commerce and provide guidance on how to recognize a trusted e-shop.
