• 18-19 Mar 2010 - European Consumers Summit

  The conference is organized for the second time by the European Commission (Directorate General for Health and Consumers), gathering around 300 stakeholders in the consumer area to exchange views and make progress in a specific consumer policy area. The first Summit took place on 1-2 April 2009 and was entitled "Consumer trust in the digital market".

• 17 March 2010 - FTC's final public roundtable

  The FTC is hosting its final public roundtable on March 17 to explore the privacy challenges posed by social networking, cloud computing, online behavioral advertising, mobile marketing, and the collection and use of information by retailers, data brokers, third-party applications, and other businesses.

  The European Consumer Day is organised every year by the European Economic and Social Committee, in close cooperation with both the European Commission and the EU Presidency, in order to heighten awareness of European consumers' rights and concerns.

• 7-13 Mar 2010 - United States Consumer Protection Week

  National Consumer Protection Week is an annual consumer protection event that encourages individuals across the U.S. to take full advantage of their consumer rights. NCPW 2010 is March 7-13. This year's theme - Dollars & Sense: Rated "A" for All Ages - highlightes the importance of using good consumer sense at every stage of life - from grade school to retirement . For that reason, the NCPW site features a page for kids and parents and highlights websites, games and videos that teach kids practical lessons about the role of business and government in everyday life.

  Happy Safer Internet Day! Safer Internet Day is organised by Insafe each year in February to promote safer and more responsible use of online technology and mobile phones, especially amongst children and young people across the world. The topic for 2010 is "Think B4 U post!".
